After serving clients in the Hunter Valley Wine Country region for more than 10 years, Intellinet has had to relocate due to family reasons.
Now, based on the Mornington Peninsula region on the outskirts of metro Melbourne, our focus is still on supporting businesses in the Tourism and Wine Growing market sector. But now operating as simply “ikoniq“.
Along with the move, it was time to evaluate the future of the home-grown Content Management System that customers have benefited from over the years. Since its earliest iteration it served its users well being simple and easy to manage with some great features. However, the technology platform it was based on had also moved on offering newer features that could not be utilised in the Intellinet CMS.
With that realisation it was time to explore the CMS webscape. The usual players were re-examined, and rejected for the same reasons they were rejected back in the early 2000’s – mainly user-friendlyness for site owners/managers.
After long research including developing a new modern version of the Intellinet CMS, I discovered PyroCMS in its early days – having just been promoted to Version 1. This was a genuine Light Bulb Moment.
